In this introduction to the basic principles of U.S. public law, we consider constitutional law and administrative procedure. The focus is primarily on constitutional law (civil rights and liberties, federalism, and justiciability), the Federal Administrative Procedure Act, agency enabling statutes, agency proceedings, and the process of appeal from agency rulings. Criminal law and procedure, a secondary focus, is addressed in the constitutional law segment of the course.
