This course surveys the principal issues in the private sector employer-employee relationship, including common law, statutory, and regulatory parameters. Coverage includes the at-will doctrine and its exceptions, First Amendment and other Constitutional rights in the workplace, discrimination in hiring and in career path and termination settings, workers' compensation, and the availability and use of administrative and other legal remedies by both employers and employees.
