One of the most exciting, successful, and rewarding areas in publishing is children's books. For those who enter from any perspective--as writer, editor, designer, or marketing and sales--children's book publishing offers a challenge and a professional opportunity. In this introductory course, gain practical, specific information about children's book publishin--from acquisition to distribution. The course covers all aspects of editorial, design, production, sales, marketing, and subsidiary rights responsibilities. Assignments include readings and simulation of editorial tasks.
