Develop the editing skills you need in the world of book publishing in this practical training course. The different editing requirements for trade, reference, and other types of print works are discussed, as are those of online editing. Learn standard proofreader's and copy editor's marks; manuscript development; common word usage problems; style sheets or house styles; use of reference works; and the interrelationship of copy editor and editor to production editor. This course includes extensive assignments and constructive feedback.
Students must have proficiency in English grammar and composition.
