This course, which covers both conceptual and line editing, is designed to help take your editing skills to the next level. Learn how to develop and sustain an author relationship, nurture and guide a writer through the editing process, and keep a project on budget and on schedule. Students also explore the art of uncovering and communicating the author's voice and point of view and improving a manuscript's structure, narrative, and flow. Participants work with both fiction and nonfiction manuscripts in this hands-on workshop.
Students must have fluency in English and knowledge of the editorial role in book publishing.
