This class encourages you to try your hand at the most common freelance activities in book publishing including copyediting, proofreading and fact checking; indexing; picture research and permissions; and writing marketing and advertising copy for print and online promotions. Class assignments give you the opportunity to identify your strengths and interests and prepare you to move on to more specialized courses. Whether you intend to build a full-time freelance career, or want to supplement your income, this course provides invaluable advice.
