This course covers the intricacies of editing different types of stories for magazine categories, emphasizing hands-on editing. Classroom work focuses on the basics of conceptualizing, assigning, shaping, and developing a manuscript; refining voice, point of view, and visuals; imagining online components; and more. Hone your magazine editing skills and develop valuable insights into the editing process and working with writers. This course is beneficial for magazine editors who want to improve their skills and writers who want to learn how to improve their own manuscripts.
Students must have fluency in English and knowledge of the editorial role in magazine publishing.
