Publishing
This course provides an insider's guide to pitching general interest, special interest, and trade publications; working with a magazine's line and copy editors; and dealing with fact-checking and online requirements. Topics include understanding the assignment memo, juggling multiple pitches and projects, and specifically pitching digital media. Students learn how to build long-lasting freelancer/editor relationships.
Students must have fluency in English and knowledge of the editorial role in magazine publishing.
