Writing effective magazine display copy--including cover lines, headlines, and photo captions--requires guidance and expertise. This two-day intensive workshop is designed for magazine professionals who want to develop these editorial skills to attract readers and increase sales. Freelancers also benefit from the workshop, learning to craft enticing display copy to help pitch their stories. Through examples and practical hands-on exercises, students learn copy techniques that work--and avoid those that don't--for magazine categories including fashion and beauty, entertainment, news, lifestyle, and others.
Students must have fluency in English and knowledge of the editorial role in magazine publishing.
