Examine supply-and-demand dynamics and their impact on real estate market forecasts, investments, and development decisions. The course introduces fundamental approaches to real estate market analysis and explores the role such analysis plays in determining an ideal project site. Topics include trade areas, supply-and-demand analysis, demographics, gap analysis, the forecasting model, assessing site advantages and disadvantages, and the competition matrix. Office, industrial, retail, hotel, and multifamily property types are discussed. Investors, developers, brokers, and other real estate professionals benefit from the course.
Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: Real Estate Development Process/X62.9402 or equivalent experience.
