Acquire an understanding of the legal and technical framework of the New York City Zoning Resolution, including zoning applicability to existing and new construction. Topics include the history of zoning; an overview of zoning text and maps; general provisions; residence, commercial, and manufacturing district regulations; nonconforming and noncomplying uses; administration; special districts; and an index of uses. Obtain a copy of the Zoning Handbook, published by the New York City Department of City Planning, prior to the first class.
AIA/HSW-16 hours. PDH-16 hours.
