Gain an understanding of the main components of and factors affecting indoor environmental quality (IEQ) in commercial and multi-unit residential buildings with a particular focus on indoor air quality (IAQ), LEED guidelines, and New York State Green Building tax credits. Topics include gaseous compounds, particulates, microbiology, physical factors, tracer gas air modeling methods, ventilation standards, blower door measurements, radon, asbestos, lead, materials selection and rating systems, natural daylighting, thermal comfort, occupant controls, acoustics, and ergonomics.
AIA/HSW-20 hours. PDH-20 hours.
Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: Principles of Environmentally Sustainable Design/X63.9390 or similiar experience.
