A venue, plain or fancy, provides you with a physical canvas on which to create your event. Depending on the goal of your event, its theme and budget, you can use your creativity and complement the existing venue with any number of decorative items. Learn to manage set designers, technical crews, and prop resources to create your own sensational venue. This course emphasizes creativity as you learn how to turn raw space into something sensational. Prior to the first day of class, students must read The Art of the Event by James Madison, published by John Wiley & Sons.
