Businesses and organizations spend millions of dollars to achieve specific objectives through special events. This course demonstrates professional practices used to create special events that meet client goals. Event planners learn to use creative ideas while developing an event theme and planning for a variety of events, incorporating site selection, decor, activities, and food and beverage. Planners also learn the essentials for effectively managing volunteers and VIPs, negotiating with sponsors and vendors, project management and budgeting, and risk management.
