Prepare to develop and teach online courses in this introduction for faculty, trainers, and other instructors. Explore the application of learning theory to online instruction, online course content development, and strategies for effective online curriculum planning and delivery. Learn how to define the characteristics and needs of adult distance learners; effective ways to meet these needs through online instruction; and the differences between online courses and traditional courses with respect to class participation, interaction, course materials, and instructor involvement. Reinforce your skills with the design and delivery of an instructional unit.

This course meets online via NYU-SCPS Online. The online synchronous teaching schedule is on Monday nights from 6:30PM - 8:30PM on 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12, and 4/19 for a total of 8 live sessions which can be played back.
