Introduction to the Human Services

This course is not open to students who have successfully completed S03.0001/Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare. Provides an introduction to the field of human services. The history and impact of economic, political, and social influences on human services in the American society; the role of public and privately sponsored programs and agencies, and changing delivery systems are discussed. Each student selects one agency or type of service to investigate.
