Familiarizes the student with the skills needed for special examinations, such as the sonographic evaluation of the breast, scrotum, thyroid, parathyroid, prostate, neonatal heads, and musculoskeletal examinations. Anatomy and pathology, sonographic appearance, scanning technique and protocols are described, as well as the understanding of the images necessary for diagnosis. (Diagnostic Medical Sonography students only)
