Web Database Design Concepts

Accessing DBMS stored data over the internet has become vital for a wide range of internet activities (i.e., eCommerce, customer records, inventory, knowledge bases, patient information, etc.) The interplay of DBMS, internet server and programmed application will be explored in detail. Course topics will include: overview of internet client-server processes, application and session server objects, software development tools, database connectivity, distributed databases.

Prerequisite: Database Design
