Introduces the student to the art and architecture created in Europe from prehistoric times to the end of the Middle Ages (including the Greek, Roman, Romanesque, and Gothic periods). Works are studied not only for their style but for their meaning within their historical context so that the student may better understand the relationship between the two. (Internet access is essential)
