This course will examine the latest research and techniques in workplace design. Concepts such as work cell design and one-piece flow will help illuminate the manufacturing based sequence of work output. The goal of this course is to utilize technology in order to reduce waste, use inventory more effectively, and increase overall efficiency. Topics will include: computer integration of total work environment, conveyors, robots, and artificial intelligence.
