A WOMAN OF INFLUENCE... Lisa A. Bing, president of Bing Consulting Group, Inc. and an adjunct professor
teaching leaderships and management at NYU-SCPS, has been selected as one of The Network Journal's 2007 "25 Influential
Black Women in Business" honorees. The March issue of The Network Journal will profile Ms. Bing as well as the other
honorees.
AND THE OSCAR GOES TO... Sonya Sinha, NYU-SCPS adjunct professor of interior design, helped create the
"Greenroom" for this year's Oscar ceremonies, used by celebrity presenters to gather and prepare before they appear
on stage. Sinha works for design firm White Webb LLC, which also designed Architectural Digest's Greenroom for the Emmy
Awards this past summer.

29-year-old nontraditional student, Marc Gustafson, founded successful educational nonprofit
before returning to complete undergraduate degree.
Marc Gustafson, a senior at New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies, has been
awarded a prestigious Marshall Scholarship to attend the University of Oxford to pursue an advanced degree in Modern

Congratulations to the following NYU
court interpreting program alumni and students: Selvia Nebbia, Natalia Bondonno, Linda Bergnes, Mariana Scardino, Jonathan
Forte, and Monica Palacios for passing the recent court interpreter exam for New York State civil service positions. Out of
nearly 1,700 applicants to take the exam, these six were among the 116 successful candidates who are now eligible for full-time
interpreting positions in New York.

In January, the Division of Graduate Programs in Business at New York University's School of Continuing and Professional
Studies (www.scps.nyu.edu) hosted a roundtable discussion on the topic of "Recent Lessons in Reputation Management: Are Corporations
and Other Organizations Heeding Them?".
The roundtable was moderated by John Doorley, academic director and clinical assistant professor in the M.S. in Public Relations and
Corporate Communications program at NYU-SCPS, and speakers included: Helio Fred Garcia, adjunct professor at NYU-SCPS, who teaches
crisis communications and reputation management; Ron Alsop, news editor and senior writer at the Wall Street Journal, who writes about
business education, corporate reputation, and marketing; Barri Rafferty, instructor at NYU-SCPS who specializes in public relations
and brand marketing; Dennis Garritan, academic director and clinical associate professor of the M.S. in Human Resource Management
and Development program at NYU-SCPS; and Bruce Baulch, senior director of information technology and administration at the NYU
Medical Center.
