NYU-SCPS Student Information Systems Modifications

Beginning March 14, 2011, noncredit students will access their class schedules and grades and have the ability to drop classes through ALBERT, NYU’s web-based, university-wide student information system.

Please note that online registration and payment will continue to occur through our website. During this transition period, you must complete separate transactions to register for courses occurring in different semesters. If you wish to enroll for a new class using credit from a dropped class, you must contact the Office of Noncredit Student Services at (212) 998-7150.

ACCESSING STUDENT INFORMATION THROUGH ALBERT

To access ALBERT, you must have an activated NYU NetID. Once activated, your NetID is the key to many online resources, including NYUHome, where you can access ALBERT and a variety of information channels.

If this is your first time enrolling in a course at NYU-SCPS, within 24 hours your profile on the NYU-SCPS website will display your University ID number (NID) and NetID, along with activation instructions and a link to NYUHome, where you can access ALBERT. You will also receive an e-mail with instructions on how to activate your NetID.

If you have taken a course at NYU-SCPS in the past, activate your account using your University ID (NID) and NetID, provided on your profile page on the NYU-SCPS website.

To activate your NetID, from any Internet-connected computer, go to http://start.nyu.edu, enter your NetID, and follow the instructions to set up a password and access NYUHome. You will need both your University ID number (NID) and NetID to activate your NYUHome account.

Once your account is activated, go to http://home.nyu.edu and sign in using your NetID and the password you chose. If you encounter a problem activating your NYUHome account, contact the ITS Client Services Helpline at (212) 998-3333 or e-mail askits@nyu.edu.

NEW COURSE NUMBERS

An additional modification you may notice is that our course numbering system has changed, beginning with the Summer 2011 semester. The new numbering system does not in any way change registration procedures or program requirements—simply register as always using the appropriate course number from the NYU-SCPS Summer 2011 Bulletin or online.
