Graduate Admissions

RECOMMENDED DEADLINES: DOMESTIC STUDENTS

The Office of Admissions practices “rolling admissions” and applications are reviewed throughout the year by the admissions office and graduate departments. Applications are considered on a space-available basis for specific programs until two weeks before the start of a semester. Apply early so you will be able to make plans for attending in the semester of your choice.

The following are recommended priority deadlines for all U.S. applicants, including international students who are legal residents of the U.S. at the time of application. Applicants who are not already permanent residents of the U.S. (including those not seeking scholarships or housing), must apply by the recommended deadlines for international students.

RECOMMENDED DEADLINES
  • Fall 2008: Accepting Applications for Human Resources & Management and Systems MS and GC programs until October 8th
  • Spring 2009: October 15
  • Summer2009: February 15
  • Fall 2009: March 15

The following programs do not admit students in the summer term: M.S. in Global Affairs, M.S. in Digital Imaging, M.S. in Hospitality Industry Studies, M.S. in Tourism and Travel Management, and the M.S. in Publishing.*

The deadline for all students applying to the M.S. in Hospitality Industry Studies, Tourism and Travel Management, and Sports Business is generally two weeks earlier than other programs due to the requirement that students attend the Tisch Center Graduate Student Orientation.*

The M.S. in Human Resource Management and Development and the M.S. in Management and Systems have two six-week sessions in each term, which allows applicants to continue to apply after the final deadlines.*

*These deadlines also apply to all corresponding graduate certificates.
