"…you’re learning from people with relevant, up-to-date information on emerging trends and technologies."
I was working as a creative director and had looked at other schools such as RISD and RIT to pursue a master’s in a graphic communications field. I picked NYU-SCPS because it offered a curriculum with so many opportunities that I just knew it would be a great career move. Nearing the end of my program I can confirm that it’s given me the knowledge I need to advance my career to a much higher level.
Aside from the networking events that are offered through the program, there are great opportunities to meet board members, working professionals, and fellow students from both my own and other programs. I’ve never been around such a knowledgeable or diverse group of students—in many ways, I learned as much from them as I did from my classes. And being taught by faculty who are still working in the field, in some cases presidents and CEO’s of their own companies, was really one of the best aspects of the program. At a time when so many university professors are strictly academics, it’s refreshing to know that you’re learning from people with relevant, up-to-date information on emerging trends and technologies.
