  • How do I register for courses?
    All students receive a registration information containing advisement, registration, drop/add, refund procedures and upcoming course offerings. This information is sent by the departments about three months before the semester begins. Some courses may need an access code
     
  • How do I activate my NYU NetID and NYU e-mail account?
    Go to http://start.nyu.edu and follow instructions.
     
  • How can I get registration “stops” removed?
    Bursar Stops: Call Bursar at 212-998-2800
    Dean’s Stop: Call Student Life 212-992-3208
    Health Stops: Call Immunization Records office at 212-443-1199.
     
  • How do I notify NYU of a change of address?
    You need to notify both the University on Albert (www.albert.nyu.edu) and the department by notifying an advisor.
     
  • How do I register for classes at other NYU divisions?
    Speak with an advisor during advisement/registration to determine which courses would be appropriate.
     
  • How do I learn about/apply for scholarships?
    To be eligible for university scholarships, fellowships, or loans, you must submit a FAFSA form each academic year. Initial scholarships are provided at the time of admission. Some departments also offer merit scholarships for current students. Check with your advisor for the application process and deadlines.
     
  • How do I get a transcript?
    Unofficial transcripts are available on ALBERT.
    Call 212-998-4280 or go in person to 25 West 4th Street, Student Services for an official transcript.
     
  • How do I find out about “Open Computer Lab” schedules?
    Visit http://www.nyu.edu/its/map/ for a complete map and schedule.
     
  • What are the hours of the Brause Library?
