IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS

New York State Public Health Law 2165 requires all college students registering for six or more credits in a degree-granting program to provide immunization documentation for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, and Rubella (German Measles) prior to registration. Students born before January 1, 1957 are exempt. Failure to comply with the state immunization law will result in denial of registration privileges.

New York State Public Health Law 2167 requires institutions, including colleges and universities, to distribute information about Meningococcal disease and vaccination to all students registered for six or more credits, whether they live on or off campus. All students registered for six or more credits are required to decide whether or not to be immunized for Meningitis and to provide formal confirmation of their decision.

All documentation regarding immunization requirements must be sent directly to the NYU Student Health Center. For more information and to ensure that you have provided proper documentation for immunizations and meningitis, contact the NYU Student Health CenterNon-compliance will impact your ability to register for classes.
