PROSPECTIVE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
With its small class sizes, comprehensive degree programs, and a great location in New York
City, NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies has much to offer international
students.
In addition to the academic support and services available to you as a student at SCPS, NYU’s
Office of International Students and
Scholars (OISS) plays an important role in helping international students make the transition
to a new country and culture, as well as provides advice on immigration issues, employment, and
campus and community activities. International student orientations are offered every Fall and
Spring semester to help facilitate international students’ educational and cultural adjustment to
NYU and New York City.
You are considered an international student if you are an applicant from a country other than
the United States and will be pursuing a degree program on a student visa. As an international

admitted to the university if they have completed secondary education, fulfilled the minimum grade
point equivalency, provided required official academic records, met the appropriate deadlines, and
verified financial support for one academic year.
